I am a medical practitioner with more than 30 years' experience and have worked on the South Coast for the last 28 years, having moved down here from the north of England. I have a longstanding interest in the management of pain using physical means and in the wider care of people with cancer to improve general wellbeing and help with specific symptoms. I found that my conventional training needed extending and undertook the Foundation Course in Western Medical Acupuncture through the British Medical Acupuncture Society, gaining certification in 2017.
I have been given the opportunity to work at the Clinic and look forward to treating people in conjunction with other colleagues here, helping to provide a holistic approach to the treatment of painful conditions and seeking to help current and previous suffers from cancer feel more comfortable.
In my other life, I continue to have a variety of clinical roles in the area. My husband is an Engineer in a firm locally, and my twin sons are busy deciding what their next step in life will be, having just completed their school education. I am a keen reader and enjoy handicrafts, DIY, gardening and woodwork.
